“It all started in 2013. Our daughter Ella had an interest in bugs and was getting ready to start 4-H the following year. James was looking for a family project that could get us involved in something. Having grown up in a wood shop, he thought that beekeeping would be a great way to incorporate both woodworking and the love for bugs. Isaac and James would build the boxes in the barn, and Ella and James would work in the hives.
They only needed to convince Abbey to join this plan. After a blind taste test distinguishing the difference between local honey and store-bought honey, she was in.
That year, we started with three hives and finished the year ten. Each year, we have been blessed and have continued to grow Wheeler’s Bees. We have added Corban and Boden into beekeeping operations. In 2015, we expanded our business and began selling bee supplies, as a service to our local bee association. Two years later, we started suppling bee packages and nucs.
We have enjoyed getting to know so many beekeepers through the years and have been fortunate to learn from our customers along the way.”

“Our Story- With a heart for people and a focus on providing a variety of locally raised choices. We are a family-owned business dedicated to providing you with a high-quality product. Along with our own family raised grass-fed beef we help other farmers get their high-quality products online and into the homes of our customers.
When we say local, we mean from right off our farm to within Indiana. Most within 25 miles of our home base in Bluffton Indiana.
All our grass-fed beef is raised here in Wells County Indiana. When we say our beef is 'grass-fed' we mean that animal was never fed grain or grain by-products at any time in their life. Our cattle are raised without antibiotics or added growth hormones and/or steroid implants. The grass used to feed our cattle has not been treated with any synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. The cattle have been humanely raised and handled in an environmentally sustainable way. Soil, grasses and breed all come together to bring you quality grass-fed beef. The cattle graze on pastures during Indiana's grass growing season and are given the same high-quality hay during the winter months. We started out with the mission to produce the highest quality grass-fed beef for our family and now we are honored to share our passion with you.
Hoosier Creek Farms has partnered with Hoosier Homestead Kunekunes from Adams County Indiana to bring you pastured-raised pork! At Hoosier Homestead Kunekunes they ethically and sustainably raise registered Kunekune pigs in an open, outdoor environment where they have unlimited access to fresh air, pasture, and sunshine. Their pigs eat high-quality, locally-sourced feed, free from animal by-products and growth promotants, and they are never given hormones or unnecessary antibiotics. They believe that these ideal conditions allow them to provide families with healthy pork from happy hogs.
We source all our chicken from Miller Poultry. It is all Natural, Raised on All-Vegetable Feeds and No Antibiotics, No Animal By-Products or Fats, No Artificial Colors or Hormones, Cage-Free, Low Stress Growing Practices. The chickens are hatched, grown, and processed in the Northern Indiana, Southern Michigan area.”

“We are Amber and Justin and together we run BroxonBerry. Amber started BroxonBerry back in 2016 with the vision of replacing her full-time job that did not allow her time for her family. Since then, in 2021 the farm had grown too big for Amber to handle by herself, so Justin happily stepped away from his full-time time job to join in on the full-time farm life and has not looked back since. We offer a wide range of fresh produce, but focus mainly on leafy greens, roots, and herbs, all while meeting the requirements for our CNG certification. We grow for local restaurants, grocery stores and the YLNI farmers market, plus a weekly box order on the farm and we do this all on .4 acre of land. Our mission is to supply locals with delicious and nutritious produce 9 months out of the year. What keep us going is the customers feedback. Our job is not always unicorns and rainbows and hearing how what we grow has affected them in one way or another is a powerful motivator.”
