beautifying downtown Bluffton

September 2020 was an eventful month for the Downtown of Bluffton.  Wells County participated in The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership’s ‘Mural Fest’, which took place in 11 counties. David Rice of Portland, Oregon along with his mentee Seddrick Lorick of Fort Wayne were the artists for our county’s mural located at Parlor City Plaza. Find out more about the Partnership and Mural Fest here.

In addition to the Partnership’s ‘Mural Fest’, Bluffton NOW! , Bluffton’s downtown revitalization organization, implemented an additional mural by local artist Nancy Wagner of Poneto, Indiana. Bluffton NOW! has hopes to expand public art in the downtown area by adding more murals in the future!

The Parlor City Plaza mural features elements native to Wells County such as the Iris flower and the Baltimore Oriole.
